Reviews
The saunas and pools were nice, but the services were some of the worst I’ve ever experienced. I had a scrub, face mask, and massage special and the entire experience was uncomfortable.
For the massage in the women’s section they bring you to a curtained section of the sauna where there are three massage tables, and there’s no privacy and it’s kind of loud. The massage itself was painful and made the knots in my back worse.
The masseuse was quite literally yanking me around. When she would work on the muscles she would put her full pressure into everything without asking for feedback, and wouldn’t adjust when I told her it was too much. At one point she rinsed my hair and yanked my hair numerous times (which hurt!).
They don’t give you a face pillow when you are face-down so my neck ended up cramping and I had a headache post-massage. The customer service was also fairly blunt and not really accommodating which was disappointing for an activity that’s supposed to be self-care.
Overall, I would never pay for this type of treatment again. I get massages on occasion and I’ve never had this bad of an experience. I could see the day-pass being worth it but none of the services provided any positive benefit for me.
On a positive note the other women in the spa were very kind.
I like the pricing, especially if you get a service since you get half-priced access to the spa, unlike the competing spa in town. Q is a bit less fancy, lacking a variety of shampoos and lotions, and the rooms mostly have hard floors and there are unpleasant mechanical sounds. I liked the hot stones in the mud room. I liked the nap area and 3-4 different places to sit and relax and the acupressure walk. They offer exercise bikes. Cold pool is too cold, but the aesthetics of this pool room is nicer than the competitor’s. Great restaurant, accessible from the rear to non-spa goers. I wish the shorts were a looser fit for increased comfort for women with bigger hips. It’s nice not to wear shower caps at Q. You have to climb stairs to access most rooms and massage suite. If the spa-only price increases Jan 1 to the level of the competitor, I’ll choose competitor. But for a treatment, I choose Q.
It can be a bit loud which is kind of the opposite of what I want my spa experience to be like. Even though there are signs everywhere to use spa voice, no one regulates it so you'll sometimes have groups of 4-6 women come in and talk-talk-talk and crack up.
On the other hand, spa services are excellent and facility in general is always clean. I come here fairly often (even with the noise issue) and have never had a bad scrub or other spa service. Heated rooms are fantastic for if you just want to zone out.
They have the best scrubs! My friend and I love getting our scrubs every few months as well as using the hot tub, cold tub, sauna, steam room, and all the other rooms. Like the charcoal, Jade, Himalayan salt, and more. There is a restaurant in there so you never have to leave. Our go to place!
This review is solely on the day pass without additional services and the cafe.
Price - A day pass is $40 per person in store but you can check Groupon for deals. They currently have a deal on 2 day passes for $64 with an additional 20% off (~$51). A steal!
Front Desk - There were 3 people working and they were quite busy on a Friday at 2pm. They request an ID or car key in exchange for the locker room key. If you lose it, you'll need to pay $20. 1 staff member realized it was our first time there and led us to the entry of the locker rooms/ bathhouses. We thought she was giving us a tour of the facility but she only mentioned how the locker rooms and bathhouses were separated by men and women and walked off.
Access - A day pass gives you access to their nude bathhouses and sauna rooms. The women's bathhouse had a steam room, infrared sauna, hot pool, jacuzzi, and cold pool. There's shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the showers. There's also body lotion, hair dryers, fans, combs, q-tips, and a water dispenser in the locker room. I suggest bringing your own water bottle to stay hydrated! Outside of the locker rooms, there's the cafe, shared resting areas, and saunas: yellow clay room, rock salt room, charcoal room, and ice room.
Cafe - I had the tempura ($15), bibimbap ($16), baked eggs (2 for $3), strawberry & banana smoothie ($10), and a drink from the fridge ($3). This is a good spot to grab a snack if you're super hungry but I wouldn't choose the food here over the options nearby. Service was friendly.
This is the closest spa that I like to visit for relaxing my mind and body but it turn out to be a place where people conducted sexual activity publicly. There was around 8 or 9 guys doing different sexual activities in the sauna and it becomes really hard for some of us to even use the service appropriately.
There is a clear post at the door to not involve in sexual activity while in the spa but it seems there is no one to enforce it and really bad from public health perspective.
As an entertainer, this place is always a relaxing treat for myself to soothe my soreness. Facilities have always been clean and staff are always friendly. Have had a few, “bro,” types come into the space and act loud, splash water, and be rowdy but that really isn’t the fault of the venue.
Great sauna and spa environment! Staff is always friendly and the space is always clean.
Anyone who calls all homosexuals, “deviants,” like the targeted slander below obviously are not the kind of people you can take seriously in modern society. I have been going to this spa for a long time and while I’m sure there have been isolated experiences of inappropriate behavior, in the many times I’ve been, there has never been anything I’ve noticed.
To those patrons, I say this, if you don’t like that gay men exist and share spaces with you, simply stay home!
